Before another dashboard, know which data you can trust
Almost every company we talk to has the same problem, told in different ways: sales and marketing report different numbers, Monday's report is rebuilt by hand, and nobody remembers which spreadsheet each figure comes from. The temptation is to build a new dashboard on top. If the data underneath doesn't add up, the new dashboard won't either.
A data audit is the step before that. We look at what data you have, where it lives and how far you can trust it, and we put it in writing. With that, you decide what to fix first, whether your own team does it or we do.
What we review in a data audit
What you get
A written report that both leadership and your technical team can follow:
- A map of your data sources and how they relate.
- The issues we found, ranked by how much they affect day-to-day decisions.
- What already works and can be reused, which is usually more than it seems.
- The next steps we recommend, and in what order.
We walk you through it on a call so nothing in it is left unclear.
How the audit works
- 1Intro callIn 30 minutes on Google Meet you tell us where your data comes from and what you want to know. If an audit isn't what you need, we'll say so.
- 2AccessYou give us read-only access to the tools in scope. Nothing leaves your environment.
- 3ReviewWe analyse the sources, join the data and compare the reports you already have.
- 4Report and walkthroughWe deliver the written report and go through it together.
When it makes sense to start here
- Sales and marketing argue about numbers instead of decisions.
- You're about to build a data warehouse, switch BI tools or connect an AI, and don't want to do it blind.
- You've inherited reports nobody knows how to maintain.
- You need to show leadership why data deserves investment, with more than a hunch.
If you already know exactly what needs building, going straight to data strategy or business intelligence consulting may suit you better.
Data audit FAQs
Do we have to give you access to all our systems?
No. Read-only, and only to what's in scope. Your data never leaves your environment.
Is it useful if we already have Power BI or Looker Studio?
Yes, and that's often when it helps most: we check where those reports get their data and why they don't match.
What happens after the audit?
With the report your own team can move forward. If you'd rather we do it, the usual next step is bringing your sources into a single source of truth.
Do you work with companies outside Spain?
Yes. We're based in Madrid and work with companies across Spain and the rest of Europe, in English or Spanish.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how many sources there are and how tangled they are. After the intro call we tell you what it would include and what it would cost.
Shall we start by finding out what data you have?
On a 30-minute call we look at your case and tell you whether an audit is what you need. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too.
